Marika survived the Second World War hidden in a cellar in Budapest, separated from her family. After fleeing Communist Hungary in her 20s, she arrived in England to begin the painful process of healing from her trauma, of which making art was integral.
With the trauma of war, migration, and the refugee experience, Marika’s inspiring message resonates powerfully today. We hope you will be able to join us for the virtual event.
