At Shepheard-Walwyn we feel morally and financially obligated to protect our authors’ IP.

We protect our authors by utilising Adobe encryption, and we appreciate you supporting their work alongside us.

Below is some important information to read prior to purchase, and a list of common FAQs to assist you.

The Basics

1) eBook formats and devices:

eBooks are available in both EPUB and PDF formats.

EPUB is best suited to mobiles and tablets (iOS and android devices).

PDF is best suited to laptops and desktops (Mac or PC).

All of our eBooks are supported on Mac, PC, iOS, and Android devices, and also work on some other Readers.

Kindle is not compatible with encrypted eBooks by Adobe. If you only want to read our eBooks on Kindle then please purchase our eBooks from Amazon. Though to note, we would prefer you purchase directly from us to support our authors and our independence. Our eBooks can be read easily on all regular devices with the free apps we recommend during setup.

On Nook, Kobo, and some other readers, you can directly open your Adobe protected eBooks.

2) How it works:

Once you have purchased your eBook, you will receive confirmation of your order and your Download Link email should arrive within 10 minutes.

The download email contains full instructions on how to download and set up your eBook (make sure to check your spam folders too).

3) Support:

Shepheard-Walwyn has a support team in place for our eBook customers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Both your confirmation of purchase and your eBook download link will be sent to the email address you used to make your purchase.

Shepheard-Walwyn sends the purchase confirmation (this should arrive almost immediately) before we send the download link which typically arrives within 10 minutes.

If you have not received the download link within this timeframe, please try:

  • Checking your spam folders.
  • Rechecking for new mail or refreshing your email screen.

Shepheard-Walwyn eBooks are protected and therefore it will not be possible to print or share your eBook. The eBook is non-transferable and can only be accessed by you.

Yes, once you have purchased and downloaded the eBook, you can access it at any time by opening the reader on your device or computer.

Yes, once you have downloaded the eBook onto your device, you can read it offline at any time.

Your eBook will have the same content as the printed edition. Sometimes the formatting may be different to provide you with the best possible reading experience.

You can get a refund for your eBook purchase if you have not yet downloaded it. If you would like a refund, please email [email protected] within 14 days from the date of purchase.

This is not possible since each eBook purchase is linked to a specific eBook code. However, if you haven’t downloaded it yet then we can offer you a refund on your purchase.

Both PDFs and EPUBs are common formats used to read digital documents.

Our recommendation is to use EPUB if you are viewing on a mobile or tablet, as EPUB has more flexibility when customising the visual layout on your device.

If you intend to read only on a computer then we recommend PDF as it displays better on desktops and laptops.
