Annetta Victoria Wood (ne Butterfield), born in the early 1940s in the county of West Yorkshire, was educated in Yorkshire, Sussex and Switzerland. Her great affinity and fascination with the written word began with the onset of adolescence. In her own words: “It became almost a dietary need, compiling albums – they became my mantra, my bible and at all times returned faithfully the meaning of life, giving comfort through the dark times and thanksgiving through the good.”
